Setting Up Experts

Knowde's Messenger facilitates rapid and easy engagement with customers. Users on Knowde browsing for products can send your company messages and begin a conversation with a team member directly. This is why your Experts are displayed in your Experts tab and on relevant Storefront pages, making it easy for customers to reach out to your team. 

In this article, you'll learn how to manage the Experts on your Storefront.

Assigning Roles

Inside your Account Manager, navigate to Settings, then click Users to land on the Users page. Here, you can manage the Roles assigned to each member of your Storefront and invite new members. You must be a Company Admin to change member Roles. Read more about other roles here.

To assign a new company member a Role, follow the below steps:

  1. Click Invite on the Expert card

  2. This will trigger a pop-up module to open. Enter the new member's company email address into the first field and confirm your Role selection or click on the drop-down menu to add more Roles

  3. Click Send invite

  4. Your invited Expert will receive an email notification inviting them to sign up for Knowde and join your Knowde Storefront

  5. Once the invited Expert signs up they will be prompted to complete their profile shown below

  6. All incoming messages to your Expert will appear in Messenger within My Inbox

Setting up Your Expert Profile

As an Expert, your Profile is displayed publicly on your Storefront. Sign up for Knowde by following the link found in the email notification and navigate to your account by clicking on your Profile in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.

  1. Upload a high-resolution Profile Image
  2. From My Profile, ensure all normal fields (Name, Market, Department, Job Title) are filled out
  3. Click on the Expert Type drop-down and select what type of expert you are
  4. In the Expert Description field, write a sentence or two about what you do at your company and what you specialize in. This will help customers connect with the team member who is most equipped to answer their questions. 

Reorder Your Experts

You can reorder and hide experts on your Storefront by dragging and dropping to reorder and unchecking to hide.
