Optimize Storefront & Product Descriptions

Optimizing your Storefront and product descriptions drives an incremental rise in high-quality traffic, correlating to an increase in quality leads. Follow these tips to get the best results: 

When adding the Storefront Description:

  • Includes the name of the brand
  • Describes the brand
  • Makes a pitch: It talks about the unique attributes and effects of this family of products
  • Includes a short list of uses and applications
  • Is grammatically correct, with correct punctuation and spelling (US English)

When adding Product Descriptions:

  • All of the products in your Storefront have unique descriptions
  • Your descriptions contain no grammatical mistakes, misspellings, or redundant info in product descriptions
  • The description begins with the complete Product Name that is displayed on Knowde
  • The description length falls between 40 and 150 words
  • If comma-separated lists are available, it is to be made as a bulleted list

Backlinking your Storefront on your company website and in follow-up communication with prospects and your customers is a powerful way to improve your search engine ranking in Knowde’s marketplace. This will increase prospect and customer engagement with your Storefront, making it easier to track and generate leads. Follow these tips to get the best results:

    • For a product page:

    • Backlink from company website pages that are crawlable pages by Google. Test for this by following these steps: 
      1. Visit the page on your site from which you’re going to link your Storefront and/or product page
      2. Copy a sentence from the page
      3. Search for that sentence on Google and ensure that Google can find the page
  4. Link Back to Respective Page
    • Product Pages: Backlink from your related product page from the catalog on your company website for best results.
